Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man in relation to a break and enter in Dartmouth.

On September 3 police responded to a commercial intrusion alarm at Safety First at 116 Thorne Street in Dartmouth.  A man had broken out a window and entered the business. He fled the area on a bicycle prior to police arrival. The suspect did not take any property from the business.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 6’ tall, thin, with short hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black ball cap, sunglasses, and a black t-shirt over a gray long sleeve shirt.

Police Investigate Motorcycle & Vehicle Collision

At 1:40 p.m., on September 15, 2018, Halifax Regional Police responded to a motorcycle & vehicle collision at Victoria Road and the 111 Highway, Dartmouth.  A motorcycle travelling North bound on Victoria Road collided with a car in the centre/median lane, a van then collided with the motorcycle.  An adult male operating the motorcycle sustained life threatening injuries and has been transported to the hospital.

The investigation is in the early stages and investigators with the Accident Investigation and Forensic Identification Section and are conducting the investigation.  At this time it is not known if charges are pending.

Polaris ATV Stolen from Lower Sackville

On September 14, 2018, a Polaris RZR900 side by side ATV was stolen out of the compound behind Freedom Cycle on Cobequid Road in Lower Sackville.  Suspect(s) gained entry by cutting the fence and pushing the ATV out.  The ATV has an MSRP of $18,990. It was brand new and un-plated.  The photo attached is of an identical ATV inside the showroom.

Robbery in Yarmouth County

September 14, 2018, Plymouth, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia . . . At 8 a.m. on September 13, a 77-year-old man was going into a barn on his property when he was grabbed from behind and dragged to his vehicle by two unknown men. The men forced the victim to hand over an undisclosed amount of money. The men, who wore black clothing including face masks, then forced the victim to drive them to a nearby gravel pit where they took his cell phone, then threw his keys away. The suspects walked away from the pit on foot. The victim sustained a minor injury to his face during the altercation.

The victim found his keys and drove back home. The RCMP was contacted via 911, and Yarmouth Rural and Town detachments responded, using a police dog to attempt to locate the suspects. RCMP Forensic Identification Services is assisting with the investigation, as well as the Yarmouth/ Clare Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU). RCMP have canvassed the area and continue to look for the suspects, who remain at large.

The suspects are described as two men wearing black clothing and black face masks. They had a black backpack, and one of the men had a neck tattoo. Police Investigate Pedestrian – Motor Vehicle Collision

At approx. 9:03 pm, September 12, Halifax Regional Police responded to Willett St and Chelsea Lane, Halifax, for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, an adult male , was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

Kawasaki KX125L stolen overnight in Kentville

Kentville Police Service received a call this morning reporting sometime overnight between 12 midnight and around 13:00hrs a 2000 Kawasaki KX125L was stolen. It was Green in Color and pictures below.

The dirt bike was parked near front of residence, covered with tarp and chained to the deck.

Looking to identify suspect in theft of tires from Kings County Honda

On September 7, 2018, at 0245 hours, a male entered the Kings County Honda overflow lot at 26 Coldbrook Village Park Drive and removed 4 rims and tires from a 2014 red Honda Accord. The suspect removed 1 rim from another vehicle to prop up the front end of the Accord. The suspect left the scene in a silver, 2 door, Chevrolet Monte Carlo and headed east on the 101 Highway from Exit 14 at a high rate of speed. The pictures below show surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle as well as a photo of a similar rim that was taken.
