Culprit(s0(s) stole 2 TV’s, cash and  abundance of jewelry ( charm bracelet, various gold bracelets, several rings and necklaces.

 

 

Five firearms and an ATV stolen from seasonal residence

February 19, 2019, Three Mile Plains, Nova Scotia . . . Between January 21 and 25, someone broke into a seasonal residence on Panuke Lake and stole five firearms and an ATV. Access to the main building was gained by prying the back door open. The five long guns were stolen from a locked gun safe in a bedroom in the residence. The suspect(s) also pried open the door to the garage and took a 2007 red Suzuki “Vinson 500” ATV and a helmet.

February 18, 2019, Port Hastings, Nova Scotia . . . Inverness District RCMP is requesting the assistance from the public to identify a person who may have been involved in a break and enter at a local gas station.

The images were taken from surveillance video that was running while the store was closed. Someone entered the store at 1:20 a.m. on February 18 by breaking a window in the front of the building. A quantity of cigarettes was stolen.

Man charged for serious assault in Pictou County

February 18, 2019, Linacy, Pictou County, Nova Scotia . . . On January 28, Pictou District RCMP responded to a complaint of a serious assault which occurred inside a home on Merigomish Rd. in Linacy.

A 17-year old male was found inside the home and had sustained serious head and facial injuries. He was taken to hospital by ambulance. The suspect, 23-year-old James Kirk Sim of Thorburn was later arrested for the incident and has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Uttering Threats and Assault. Sim is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on April 8. The victim remains in hospital in Halifax with serious injuries.

Six adults and a youth charged in drug trafficking investigation

February 17, 2019, Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia…An investigation in Cole Harbour has resulted in drug trafficking related charges against six adults and one youth.

As part of the investigation, the RCMP/Halifax Regional Police Integrated Guns and Gangs Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Flying Cloud Dr. in Cole Harbour early Saturday morning. During the search, a large quantity of cocaine, cash, marihuana and drug paraphernalia were seized, along with a Conducted Energy Weapon and a rifle. Seven people were arrested at the Flying Cloud Dr. home without incident.

The following people have been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking and numerous firearm charges. They remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court Tuesday, February 19 at 9:30 a.m.

• Kristian William Colley, 19, of Cole Harbour
• Stephanie Lynn Colley, 43, of Cole Harbour

The following people have been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. They have been released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on April 1 at 9:30 a.m.

• Jayden William Brown, 19, of Lawrencetown
• Robyn Marie Murphy, 19, of Cole Harbour
• Robin Ronald Savoie, 19, of Cole Harbour additionally charged with Possession of Cannabis

A Cole Harbour youth has been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking and numerous firearm charges and held in custody to appear in Halifax Youth Court on February 19 at 9:30 a.m.

Shots fired complaint leads to attempted murder charges

February 15, 2019, Barrington, Nova Scotia…Barrington RCMP was called at 10 a.m. on February 13 to several complaints of shots being fired in the area of Scotts Mill Rd. The investigation revealed a Barrington Passage man had suffered a minor gun shot wound and other non life-threatening injuries. The man was treated in hospital and has been released.

The RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crimes Unit is investigating. There are a number of suspects. The RCMP obtained a warrant to enter the suspect’s home, which occurred on February 14 in the afternoon. Barrington RCMP was assisted by the RCMP Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services, and the Forensic Identification Unit. Four people have been arrested, and they are in currently in custody, facing charges of attempted murder, plus several additional charges. The suspects and victim are known to each other and police have determined this was not a random act.

Police seek public’s assistance to identify robbery suspect

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a robbery at a bank in Dartmouth on January 28.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. officers were called to a robbery that had just occurred at the Bank of Montreal located at 254 Baker Drive in Dartmouth. The man entered the location, indicated to staff that he was there to rob the bank and demanded money. The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area.

The suspect is described as a heavy set black man with an adhesive bandage aid under his left eye and another on his right hand. The man had a full beard with an earring in his left ear.  He was wearing jeans, a dark gray Under Armor ball cap and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Windsor RCMP investigating home invasion

February 14, 2019, Garland’s Crossing, Hants County, Nova Scotia . . . On February 13 just after 10 p.m., a woman was in her home while her two children were sleeping upstairs. She heard a noise in the kitchen and when she went to see who it was, she found a man standing in her kitchen, wearing black clothing from head to toe, with dark sunglasses and a ski mask covering his face. The man demanded several times to know where another resident of the home was, and when the woman repeatedly told him that person wasn’t home, he pulled a knife out of his pocket and held it towards her. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and the man ran from the home, the same way he came in.

The RCMP was called and quickly arrived at the scene. They examined the footprints in the snow and determined the suspect left the area on foot, headed towards Hwy. 14, then got into a vehicle. No one was hurt during the incident. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-6 with a slim build. He had on black shoes and a black hoody and spoke with a raspy voice.

Defibrillator stolen from Acadia University 

February 14, 2019, Wolfville, Nova Scotia . . . Kings District RCMP is asking for public assistance to solve a theft that occurred at the Beveridge Arts Centre at Acadia University. On February 8, two men were observed on security footage, taking a defibrillator from the building.

Two men were seen on camera with the device. One male has been identified however the RCMP continue to seek the public’s assistance in identifying the second male who is described as having dark skin,  wearing dark pants, black parka-style jacket, and ball cap.
