At 21:55 on September 29th, 2010, two males attempted to rob the Glenholme General Store at the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 4 in Glenholme, Colchester Co., NS. One male brandishing a large kitchen knife confronted the 62 year-old owner while the second male kept watch at the door. Both males wore hoodies covering their faces.
The owner was able to fight off the first suspect, causing both suspects to take off on foot. It is believed the suspects were picked up by a vehicle, possibly a dark blue Chevrolet Impala, which continued eastbound onto Highway 104 from Exit 12.
The suspect with the knife is described as Caucasian with a darker (tanned) completion, short dark hair, approximately 5’5″ to 5’6″ in height, slight build (approximately 150 lbs), full lips, approximately 20 years of age, and unshaven. No description is available for the second male.
