On January 11th, 2025, Antigonish RCMP received a complaint of a stolen 2022 Honda SXS Pioneer Side by Side between around around 5:30 PM on January 10th, 2025 and 10:30 AM the next morning.

January 11, 2025, Centreville, Kings County, Nova Scotia…The Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit is investigating a suspicious death that occurred in a home in Centreville.
On January 11, at approximately 3 a.m., Kings District RCMP, Kentville Volunteer Fire Department, and EHS, responded to a report of a structure fire on Anthony Avenue in Centreville. Upon arrival, first responders observed that a home was engulfed in flames and fire crews were able to extinguish the fire.
During the course of the investigation, a person was located deceased inside the home. From the initial information and evidence gathered, investigators believe that both the death and fire are suspicious in nature.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit, assisted by Kings District RCMP, Annapolis District RCMP, RCMP Police Dog Services, RCMP Forensic Identification Services, the Office of the Fire Marshal, and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.

January 9, 2025, Westville, Nova Scotia… Pictou County District RCMP is seeking information on the whereabouts of a man currently wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.
Nathan Timothy Hale, 38, of Westville, is wanted and faces a number of charges, including:
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (six counts)
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Failure to Comply with a Release Order (seven counts)
Hale is described as 5-foot-10, 210 pounds. He has dark brown hair and brown eyes.
Police have made several attempts to locate Hale, and are requesting assistance from the public.
Hale may be in Ontario or Alberta.

January 8, 2025, Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia… The RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is seeking information in relation to shots fired in Cole Harbour.
On January 5, at approximately 7:45 a.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment responded to a report of shots fired on Amaranth Cres.
At the scene, officers found an unoccupied vehicle parked on the roadway and a nearby home with damage consistent with that of a shooting. Information gathered indicates that local residents heard gunshots sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.
There were no reports of injuries.
Investigators have identified a sport utility vehicle involved in the incident. At this time, the incident is not believed to be random.
The investigation, led by the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section, is ongoing.

If you have limited proof of ownership, providing a picture of the bike that shows distinguishing features or accessories would be accepted.
It is good practice to keep your bike locked up, in a well-lit and well-travelled area. Take a photo of your bike and record its serial number as this will assist in identifying it if it becomes lost or stolen.
Cyclists can also register for the free 529 Garage program, which can help reunite owners with recovered bicycles.
HRP encourages people to report their bikes stolen to police as soon as possible with as much information as possible, including the serial number, make, model, speed, colour, and any distinguishing markings and accessories. You can file a police report online or by calling 902-490-5016.

On December 20, 2024 a camper was stolen from a residential property in the Kingston area. There were no witnesses identified, but members were able to view what appeared to be a dark coloured pickup entering the property, hooking up to the camper and towing it away. On January 1st, 2025, members in Colchester County received a report of a stolen electric dirt bike, Surron Light Bee X, from Truro Heights. Vehicle was last seen around 1:30am on the 1st, and noticed stolen around 8:00am.
The vehicle is black with orange stickers; there is a mirror on the left handle bar, and a mirror mount on the right handle bar, as well as a “TRUST WELDING” sticker on the front faring.

On the evening of December 31st 2024, a 2018 silver Honda Civic was stolen from Lovitt Street in Yarmouth Nova Scotia.

On January 5th, 2025 Cumberland County RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from the residence on Barronsfield Road, River Hebert, Nova Scotia. The vehicle is a 2017 blue GMC Sierra, with Nova Scotia marker: HEA 357. The vehicle was last seen on January 4th, 2025. Photo attached bellow is of a similar vehicle.

December 31, 2024, Plymouth, Nova Scotia… The Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit (SWN MCU) continues to investigate the disappearance of Zachery Lefave. January 1, 2025, marks four years since he was reported missing.
On January 1, 2021 Yarmouth RCMP began a missing person investigation following the report that Zac did not return to a New Year’s Eve gathering he had attended earlier in the evening with friends. He was last seen walking on Hwy. 334 in Plymouth, Yarmouth County, at approximately 12:15 a.m. and to date has not been found.
Over the last four years, investigators with the SWN MCU have collaborated with partner agencies inside and outside of the RCMP to find Zac. Regional ground search and rescue (GSAR) teams have volunteered countless hours from the start. RCMP Police Dog Services, including an RCMP cadaver dog team from British Columbia, officers from RCMP Forensic Identification Services, various units from Yarmouth RCMP, Meteghan RCMP, Shelburne RCMP and Lunenburg District RCMP have all contributed to the search and investigation.
“Through a combination of statements and following up on tips and leads, our investigators have spoken with over two hundred people during the course of this investigation. The information and details provided have shaped where and how searches have taken place, and will support potential new search efforts going forward,” says Cst. Shawn Himmelman, lead investigator with the SWN MCU.
The RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit continue to investigate and seek any information that will assist in locating Zac. The RCMP would particularly like to speak with anyone driving or walking on or near Hwy. 334 between Arcadia and Wedgeport between the hours of 11:30 p.m. on December 31, 2020, and 3:00 a.m. on January 1, 2021.
At the time of his disappearance, Zachery Lefave was 21 years old, 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, with brown facial hair, brown hair and blue eyes. He is now 25 years old. He was last seen wearing a hat, plaid shirt and shorts.
