A police-issued magazine containing firearm ammunition is missing.
At approximately 10:35 a.m. officers were involved in a foot pursuit with a robbery suspect on Green Road in Dartmouth. During the pursuit, it is believed the magazine fell from an officer’s equipment belt. Officers have conducted a thorough search of the area, but the magazine has not yet been located. Efforts to locate the magazine are ongoing.
The robbery suspect was arrested and searched and was not in possession of the magazine.
Unlawful possession of police-issued equipment is against the law. If someone is found in possession of the magazine, they may face criminal charges, fines or other legal penalties.
Anyone with information on the magazine’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 902-490-5020.
