Theft of 2020 Gatormade 20’ Lowboy Trailer NSL # T468399.

Around 0330hrs on 2025/03/10 the noted trailer was stolen from a driveway located on # 1 Highway, Newport Station. Security video shows a truck backing into the driveway around 0331hrs and leaving with the trailer. A second security video shows the truck, light colored and sounding like a diesel (possibly a Dodge Ram) driving by Wentworth Road Extension at 0334hrs.

Man wanted on province-wide arrest warrants

March 7, 2025, Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia… Police in the Halifax Regional Municipality and Millbrook are seeking information on the whereabouts of a man currently wanted on multiple province-wide arrest warrants.

Tayshawn Maloney, 27, from Halifax, is wanted and facing charges of:

  • Attempt to Commit Murder
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Robbery
  • Uttering Threats
  • Impaired Operation
  • Operation while Prohibited
  • Mischief
  • Failure to Comply with a Release Order
  • Multiple firearms offences

Maloney is described as 5-foot-7, 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

At this time, investigators believe he may be driving a silver Toyota Yaris.

Maloney is known to frequent Halifax, Dartmouth and Truro. However, he was last seen in the Cape Breton area in October 2024.

Police have made several attempts to locate Maloney, and are requesting assistance from the public.

RCMP continue to investigate the disappearance of Cody Duane MacDonald

March 4, 2025, Grande Anse, Nova Scotia… March 4 marks one year since Cody Duane MacDonald was reported missing.

On February 29, 2024, 29-year-old Cody MacDonald was last seen at a home on Campbell Rd. in Grande Anse.

MacDonald is described as 5-foot-10, 145 lbs. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Initially it was believed he was wearing an orange survival suit at the time of his disappearance. However, information and evidence gathered indicates he was last seen wearing a grey hat and green fisherman boots. Additional clothing descriptors are not known at this time.

A multi-day search of nearby areas, assisted by Strait Area Ground Search and Rescue, Sydney Ground Search and Rescue, RCMP Police Dog Services, and RCMP Air Services, was conducted in March of 2024.

Over the past twelve months, investigators have followed up on numerous tips. Police have continued to receive and follow up on new information. At this time, investigators are asking specifically for information about the hours and days leading up to Cody’s disappearance.

Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit charges three people involved in drug trafficking

February 27, 2025, Pictou, Nova Scotia … The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU) has charged three people as part of a drug trafficking investigation in Mountville.

On February 25, in relation to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, the PCISCEU, assisted by RCMP Police Dog Services, the Stellarton Police Department, Pictou County District RCMP and the Antigonish/Guysborough County District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Mountville Rd.

At the home, two women and a man were safely arrested. During a search of the property, officers located seized license plates and cell phones.

As part of the investigation, officers then conducted a targeted traffic stop of a Honda Civic travelling nearby on Mountville Rd. Officers arrested the four occupants, a man and three women, and seized cocaine, methamphetamine, diazepam, drug paraphernalia, and cash during a search of the vehicle.

Justin Kenneth Coady, 42, John Gregory Gerrior, 34, and Katelyn Rose Kirk, 33, have been charged with:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Diazepam for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

The two women arrested at the home and two of the female occupants in the Honda were later released without charges.

Coady and Gerrior were released on conditions. They are scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on May 26, at 9:30 a.m.

Kirk was held in custody and released by the courts on conditions. She will also return in Pictou Provincial Court on May 26, at 9:30 a.m.
