Robbery – Herring Cove Road

At around 11:50 pm on December 3rd, 2008 Halifax Regional Police responded to a hold up alarm the Kwick-Way Store in the 400 block of the Herring Cove Road.

Upon arrival it was learned two men had just robbed the owner, one had a long gun, and they were last seen running towards Sylvia Ave.

Suspects Description:

(1). White male, 16-22 years of age, wearing a camouflage bluish jacket with dark jeans and dark sneakers.

(2). White male, 16-22 years of age, wearing red hooded sweater, Columbia Jacket, which had a blue upper half and a grey lower half, white under the arms with white stripes across the back and up the lower arms.

Theft of Motor Vehicles – Lower Sackville

RCMP in Lower Sackville, NS are investigating the recent theft of 3 trucks with Fisher snow
plows. In the evening on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 a red 1996 GMC Sierra, NSL: DRZ-417,
was stolen from the Sackville Sports Stadium.

On Thursday, January 8, 2009 at approximately 21:00 a silver 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, NSL: DZV-081, was also taken from the Sackville Sports Stadium.

On Wednesday, January 14, 2009, sometime after midnight, a grey 1999 GMC Sierra, NSL: EMD-999, was stolen from Windgate Drive, Sackville, NS.

The 2005 Chevrolet was recovered in Hammonds Plains, NS, it appears as though the target was the plow itself. There was damage to the passenger side door suggesting the use of a “Slim Jim” type of tool to enter the vehicle and the ignition on the one recovered vehicle was punched.
Fisher plows can range anywhere from $5000.00 to $15,000.00

The suspects could have been driving a dark colored pick-up truck with a plow on it.

Home Invasion, Atlantic Street – Halifax

During the early morning hours of the 7th of September 2008 a residence on Atlantic Street in Halifax was broken into while the occupants were sleeping.

The victims were sleeping in the upstairs when they were awakened by an unknown black male who pointed a gun at them, ordered them not to move or he would shoot their head off.

The suspect opened the dresser drawer in the bedroom as well as the bedside table. He took two laptop computers, a HP computer and a Toshiba computer, as well as a black nosier cell phone.

He then went back downstairs and left through the front door leaving the door open and using one of the victim’s bicycles as a means of transportation to leave the area.

ATM Theft, Quinpool Road – Halifax

At around 8:00 pm on the 21st of September 2008 an ATM was stolen from Quingate Towers on Quinpool Road in Halifax, Nova Scotia, The ATM was later recovered on the Prospect Road.

Investigators viewed a video tape that showed two males that appeared to be casing out the area for awhile, they made several trips in and out of the building, using both the front door and the rear exit that was the point for the theft.

These two males are described as:

(1). White male, 18-24 years old, 5’9”-5’11”, 150-160 lbs, short brown hair, thin face, wearing a grey hoody with green on front that zipped up, white under shirt, blue jeans, black sneakers.

(2). White male, 20-26 years old, 5’11”-6’01”, 170-180 lbs, brown hair, wearing a black sweater/jacket with hood, black hat (white underarmour symbol on front), dark track pants (grey vertical stripe on legs), white under shirt.

Break & Enter – Halifax

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying the two culprits responsible for a break enter & theft which occurred on Lynette Road in Halifax.

At around 9:10 am on Tuesday the 11th of November 2008 the victim left for work, at 9:25 am, they received a call from a neighbour that their apartment was being broken into by two young males wearing red hoodies.

The victim returned home to find the door had been forced.
Stolen was a laptop computer and wedding rings.
