Break & Enter – Halifax

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying the two culprits responsible for a break enter & theft which occurred on Lynette Road in Halifax.

At around 9:10 am on Tuesday the 11th of November 2008 the victim left for work, at 9:25 am, they received a call from a neighbour that their apartment was being broken into by two young males wearing red hoodies.

The victim returned home to find the door had been forced.
Stolen was a laptop computer and wedding rings.

Robbery – Dartmouth, NS

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s assistance in bringing to justice the persons responsible to at robbery which occurred on the Dartmouth Commons, Tuesday the 2nd of December 2008.

Shortly before 6:00 pm the victim cashed his pay check and was walking across the Dartmouth Commons. He was stopped by two men and robbed of cash and a Sanyo MP3 player.
The victim had his arm twisted up behind his back and his neck was cut with a sharp object.

The culprits were scared off by another person walking by who shouted at them.

The only description is they were two males.

Car Theft – Pictou County

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s assistance in solving a case of theft from Pictou County Nova Scotia

Sometime between December 6, 2008 and December 10, 2008 there was a theft from a private property garage in highway 376 in Durham Pictou County. Stolen was a 1979 Chevrolet Corvette, black in color with red interior. The stolen Corvette is similar to the car show in the photo.

The Corvette had been stored for the winter and did not have a battery in it. The left wheel and brake caliper were also not on the car. Culprits had general knowledge of cars as they put the wheel back on, battery in it and drove it away. They also removed some engine parts from a spare engine inside the garage and from another vehicle parked beside the corvette.

Theft – Pictou County

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help solving a case of theft in Pictou County Nova Scotia.

Sometime between the evening hours of July 15, 2008 and the morning of July 16, 2008 some items were stolen from the yard of Partner’s Construction located on Haliburton Road, Stolen were approximately 12 feet of 10″ stainless steel extra heavy wall pipe and an 18″ duplex 90 degree elbow. The value of the items taken was in excess of $80,000. The duplex elbow is valued in excess of $78,000 as it is a very high quality steel and used mainly in the oil and gas industry for constructing pipelines.

Video surveillance from the scene showed at least two suspects operating a dark colored pickup truck.

Break & Enter – Yarmouth

Crime Stoppers and Yarmouth Town RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a break enter and theft.

Sometime between the evening of Friday, December 5, 2008, and 08:30 on Monday,
December 8, 2008, thieves broke into a construction trailer parked outside the Lawton’s Drug Store at Starrs Road and Pleasant Street in Yarmouth, and stole a quantity of copper wire as follows:

1000 metres #6 Awg RW90
1200 metres #12 Awg RW90 (blue sheathing)
600 metres #10 Awg RW90 (green sheathing)
2000 metres #10 Awg RW90 (various colours)
1500 metres # 12 Awg RW90 (various colours)
A Bosch radio/CD/charger power station was also stolen.

Break Enter & Theft – Joseph Zatzman Drive Dartmouth

A business on Joseph Zatzman Drive in Burnside Industrial Park, Dartmouth Nova Scotia has been the victim of two breaks and enters within a month of each other.

The first break was sometime between October 24th and 25th 2008. The second was between November 7th and 10th 2008.

Both breaks were into the same locked compound, thousands of dollars in insulated wire was stolen. The weight was around 1500 lbs, 1 ½ inches in diameter, but can be stripped down for the copper.

Arson – Dartmouth

On Saturday October 11, 2008 at approximately 4:30 am the Halifax Regional Fire Department responded to the Dartmouth Marie Slips where an old Coast Guard vessel was fully engulfed in flames.

This fire is suspicious and the investigation is continuing.

On Friday October 10, at 6:45 am there was a similar incident involving a smaller vessel in the same area.

Robbery & Assault – Dartmouth

Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a case of a Robbery & Assault which took place on a pathway which runs between Auburn Drive and Greystone Drive in Halifax.

On Thursday October 30th, 2008 at around 9:30 pm the victim was on his way home when he observed three males standing in a circle on the path, as the victim approached the three males to walk by them, he was tripped to the ground… One of the guys grabbed the victims Mp3 players, swung it around hitting the victim on the head. As the victim tried to escape he was punched several times in the face and stomach before the suspects left.

The victim who suffered cuts to his forehead, cheek and chest was transported to the IWK and treated for his injuries.

Suspects Description:

(1). White male, 17-20 years old, 5’5”, wearing a dark shirt and jeans that were faded in the middle of the legs.
(2). Black male, 17-20 years old, 6’, wearing a red ‘Gap’ hooded shirt with a zipper, dark blue jogging pants with white stripes on the sides.
(3). Black male, 17-20 years old, less then 6’ tall, plain white t-shirt and dark pants.

Theft from Wal-Mart – New Glasgow

On September 20, 2008, at approximately 21:30 hours, a laptop computer was stolen from the Walmart in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.

An unknown male and female entered the store separately. The male entered the electronics department and browsed around the computer section. He later returned to the section with a shopping cart, accompanied by the unknown female. Alleged they removed a laptop that was on display from the shelf and concealed it in the cart with other merchandise. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop.

The male appears to be well groomed with an athletic build. The female appears to be blonde, well groomed and wearing an addidas track suit.
