Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving a suspicious fire and break and enters in Pictou County.On Thursday, May 14th, shortly after at 8 a.m., Pictou County District RCMP responded to a fire at a cottage on Rustico Ln., Pictou Landing. When officers arrived on scene they found members of the Pictou Landing Fire Department battling the blaze, which destroyed the cottage.
Further investigation by police found several nearby cottages had been broken into and vandalized. The Provincial Fire Marshall’s Office was called in to assist with the investigation and has deemed the fire to be suspicious. Police investigations into the cause of the fire and the break and enters are continuing.
