1. FILE 20151295483 – East Amherst, NS

• On October 3^rd 2015 during the overnight hours thieves broke into a vehicle on Highway 6 in East Amherst. The culprits stole a small red tool box, bolt cutters, hand tools along with lock picking equipment.

2. 20151537253 – Brookdale, NS.

• Over the evening hours of November 27^th between 11 pm and 11:30 AM on the 28^th, a Garmin GPS was stolen from an unlocked Chevrolet Tahoe.

3. 20151537440 – Brookdale, NS.

• RCMP received a call that two vehicles were left unlocked and someone went through them over night stealing loose change. Time frame was 1 am to 11 am.

4. 20151537058 – Brookdale, NS

• RCMP received a call that sometime over night someone went through another car and stole some loose change. A second vehicle was parked in the driveway, open, with keys inside. The vehicle was moved back a few feet. Time frame was 11 pm to 7 am.

5. 20151459568 – Little Forks, NS.

• Amherst RCMP were called and advised that the ATV Club House on Highway 2 in Little Forks was broken into. Two 20lb propane tanks were stolen. The tanks had the letters C.C.R. stamped on them.  Doors to the club were damaged. Evidence was gathered at the scene.

Crime Stoppers  and  Halifax District RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a break enter and theft which happened in Fall River Nova Scotia

Police were called to Robinson Dr. to investigate a break and enter into a garage. This crime occurred sometime overnight between November 28 and the morning of November 29.

A preliminary investigation determined that the suspect(s) forced their way into the garage where they stole hand tools and a generator.

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving a theft which took place in Hubley Halifax County Nova Scotia.

Sometime Between Aug 31 and Sept 8, 2015 four septic tanks/systems were stolen from a construction site.  Also taken were ten pallets of peat moss which is required for the operation of these septic systems.

The tanks are Ecoflo ST650 models.  They are approximately 10 ft long, 7 ft wide and 5 ft high. They have a 1500 gallons capacity and weigh 508 lbs.  The tanks are green in color and made of fibreglass.   The pallets of peat moss had 10 packages on each.  The packages are 3 ft long, 1.5 ft wide and 1.5 high.  The peat moss packaging was black and white plastic.

Due to evidence on site it is believed that a backhoe was used during the theft of these items.  It is also believed that due to size and amount of items taken a large vehicle would have required to move them from the site.

Crime Stoppers and Halifax Regional Police is requesting the public’s assistance in locating the bell from the Princess of Acadia ferry.

On September 28, officers responded to a report that the ship’s bell of the Princess of Acadia had been stolen while ferry was docked in Dartmouth. The vessel has been retired and a number of items from the ship, including the bell, were to be turned over to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.

Police are releasing a photo of the bell and ask that anyone with information on its whereabouts contact police at 902-490-5016. Crime Stoppers and Pictou County RMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a burned car on Culloden Road near the Marsdale Cemetery near Marshdale, Nova Scotia.

The car, a mid 1990’s Toyota Corolla was completely destroyed.

Crime Stoppers and Pictou County RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in solving a suspicious cottage fire in Pictou County NS.

On September 22, 2015, at approximately 8:00am, Pictou County District RCMP responded to a fire at a cottage on Dryden Lake Road, Glengarry Station. When officers arrived on scene, they found members of the Eureka Fire Department and Westville Fire Department on scene and had already extinguished the cottage which had been completely destroyed.

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving a number of break enter and thefts which happened between 2015-10-09 and 2015-10.13  in various cottages along Highway 224 in the area of Marinette, Beaver Dam and Pleasant Valley in Nova Scotia.

The suspect(s) gained access by trying to pry and/or kick the door in.

A number of items were stolen which included  various tools such as a Black and Decker reciprocating saw, crow bars, screw drivers, hammers, wrenches, table saw, radial arm saw, radial saw, skill saw, grinder and hand saws. – Craftsman 16inch 36cc chain saw, television, Red Honda TRX350, along with a number of other items.

Crime Stoppers and Amherst RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a mischief case in Joggins Nova Scotia

On September 25^th 2015 Amherst RCMP respond to complaint at the Joggins Catholic Cemetery on the Shulie Road.  Investigators found human feces smeared on religious markers at the site. This marks the third time in past two months that human feces was found on artifacts on site. In other incidents, human feces was found on religious statues and grave markers.

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving several cases of theft of furnace oil in Guysborough County NS

Guys borough District RCMP are investigating several reports of theft of furnace oil that took place in the community of Port Felix, near Canso. On November 1st, several property owners on Port Felix Loop discovered their residential oil tanks had been emptied. It is suspected that this had taken place sometime between noon on October 31st and noon on November 1st. In addition, an attempted theft of oil from a third residence was unsuccessful. It is suspected that between 1500 – 1800 litres of furnace oil is missing.

The suspect(s) had unattached the exterior fuel line from the tanks to facilitate the thefts, however the results were large quantities of furnace oil spilled onto the ground and made its way into nearby properties. This has resulted in a significant contamination to the victims’ properties and some adjacent land. The acts by those responsible not only put themselves at risk but have caused considerable damage to the victim’s property.
