Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth early this morning.

At approximately 12:01 a.m. police responded to a robbery at the Circle K and Irving gas station located at 10 Highfield Park Drive. A man armed with a knife came into the store and demanded money. The man took a quantity of money and then fled the area on foot.

The suspect is described as white, slim build, approximately 5’3” tall, 126 lbs., 30-40 years of age. At the time the man was wearing a green coat, red hoodie style sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes, and a black face mask.

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a suspicious circumstances call that occurred yesterday in Halifax.

At approximately 5 p.m. two men got out of a van and attempted to grab a 10-year-old child who was walking on Olivet Street. The child did the right thing and ran away and reported the incident to a trusted adult.

Both men are described as 40-50 years old. One man is described as having a grey beard and wearing black clothing, and the other man is described as being bald.

Police are investigating the theft of a number of firearms from a business in Dartmouth that occurred earlier this morning.

At approximately 3:50 a.m. officers responded to an alarm at Nova Tactical located at 600 Windmill Road in Dartmouth. The suspects broke into the business and stole a number of firearms. The suspects fled prior to officers arriving on scene.

The incident remains under investigation by members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.

Today marks the third anniversary of the murder of Ryan Michael Nehiley and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case.

At approximately 8:54 p.m. on November 23, 2018 Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons call in the 0-100 block of Clovis Street in Halifax. Upon arrival, officers found Ryan inside his residence suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Investigators believe that Ryan was shot inside his residence and that more than one person was involved in the offence.

Investigators believe there are people who have information that could help solve Ryan’s murder. They are asking anyone with information, who has not already spoken with police, to do the right thing and come forward with what they know; what may seem like an insignificant detail could be the key to progressing the investigation into Ryan’s murder.

Ryan’s case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program which offers cash rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for specified major unsolved crimes. Halifax Regional Police are requesting the public’s assistance with the investigation into the theft of a painting from a Halifax gallery in September.

On September 29 police received a report that a valuable painting had been stolen earlier in the day from a gallery on Doyle Street.

Police are releasing pictures of the suspect and the painting and ask anyone with information on the identity of the suspect or the whereabouts of the painting to contact police.

The suspect is described as a man with dark hair and a receding hairline wearing a blue track suit (hoodie and sweatpants), black and white sneakers and what appears to be a black mask.

The painting is described as a small 8” X 10” oil painting by Marc Aurele de Foy Suzor-Coté, late 1800s to early 1900s. The painting is framed in a gold gilded frame and is valued at $12,500.

November 22, 2021, Lower Wolfville, Nova Scotia…Today marks fifteen years since the death of Leslie Conrad of Lower Wolfville.

On October 5, 2006, 45-year-old Leslie Ann Conrad disappeared from her home. On November 22, her remains were found by a hunter near Melanson Rd. It was determined that she was the victim of a homicide.

The Nova Scotia Department of Justice is offering rewards of up to $150 thousand for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Leslie Ann Conrad. The Provincial Rewards line is 1-888-710-9090.

Police are continuing to investigate a robbery that occurred on November 11 in Dartmouth and are releasing a photo of the suspect.

At approximately 10 p.m., police responded to a robbery that occurred at the Triple N convenience store located at 187 Windmill Road. A man entered the store, threatened the employee with a firearm and demanded cash. The suspect took a quantity of cash and fled on foot. The employee was not physically injured. 

The suspect is described as a white man in his twenties, approximately 5’8″ tall with a thin build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black face mask, black pants and black shoes.

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a suspicious circumstances call that occurred in Dartmouth last week.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on November 4, a man got out of his vehicle and approached a 13-year-old youth in a parking lot on Horizon Court. The man asked the youth for directions and then asked the youth to get in his vehicle. The youth did the right thing and walked away. The man left the area in an unknown direction of travel. The youth later told a trusted adult who reported the incident to police.

The man is described as white, in his mid-70s, approximately 5’ 6” tall, balding with white hair and possibly wearing a black suit. The vehicle he was driving was described as a newer model black SUV, possibly General Motors make, with tinted windows and a grey interior. It was very clean and had no damage.

Police are looking to speak with the man or anyone who may have information in relation to the incident or video of the area.

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a bomb threat that was received this morning in Halifax.

Just after 03:38 a.m., police responded to a building located in the 0-100 block of Main Street for a bomb threat after the building received a threatening phone call from a caller. Officers are on scene and searching the area with members of the Forensic Identification Section however, nothing suspicious has been located to this point. The affected area has been cordoned off until cleared.

Police responded to a call from the Royal Bank on 7001 Mumford Road in Halifax. Police were advised that they were just robbed.

It was reported that a suspect was described as:

Dark complexion male

45-55 years old

200lbs

Wearing black pants, a winter jacket with fur hood and white sneakers.

It is not believed anything was taken. It was stated by the suspect that he had a weapon, although none was produced or seen. Nobody was injured in the incident.

Members of the General Investigative Section and Forensic Identification Section are working with patrol to investigate the matter.

The suspect has not been located at the time of this report.
