Help Identify Port Hawkesbury Thief

On July the 24th, 2025 the Port Hawkesbury RCMP recived a complaint of a shoplifting theft that occurred at Shoppers Drug Mart in Port Hawkesbury.

The suspect was seen on CCTV footage entering the store on January 24th at 3:45pm and leaving at 3:48pm with over $300 worth of items. She made no effort to purchase.

The Port Hawkesbury RCMP is seeking help in identifying the person of interest that is seen in the photo attached.

Identify Thieves From Hubbards

20251127856 and 20251138854 police file numbers.

Chester RCMP are investigating a shoplifting investigation from the NSLC in Hubbards. Two unknown thieves entered the store and stole bottles of alcohol before leaving. One male and one female thief left in a GMC truck- shown in attached photo.

The subjects of interest are:

Female description: 30s, darker skin, blue poncho, blk spandex, wearing a hijab.

Male description: 30s, darker skin, grey sweater, blue jeans, blu disposible face mask.

The vehicle used was a blk/grey GMC 4 door truck which headed toward Chester Basin.

Vehicle is a GMC truck described as black/grey partial Nova Scotia licence plate.

Stolen Arctic Cat side by side from Port Hawkesbury

On August 1st, 2025, Port Hawkesbury RCMP received a complaint concerning an Artic Cat side by side being stolen from Church street, Port Hawkesbury, NS. The side by side was stolen by theives between the early morning hours of July 30th to August 1st, 2025.

Year: 2015 / Make: Artic Cat / Model : Wildcat Trail LG / Color: Green / NS plate: LX042

It has a very deep green color, large light bar on top, full windshield in the front and back, two full doors and the plate is up the top portion in the middle surrounded by a bunch of stickers

Truro Police looking for fraud criminals

The Truro Police Service is looking to identify the male in the attached photographs in relation to a theft / fraud incident that occurred on June 17, 2025, in Truro.
On June 17, 2025, the male pictured in the attached photographs followed the customer home and with multiple accomplices and stole the customer’s credit card.

Police charge Kevin Richard Barker for possession of child pornography

Police have arrested and charged a man residing in Shubie Park Campground in Dartmouth for breach of probation and possession of child pornography.

On July 27 at approximately 8:20 a.m., Kevin Richard Barker, 46, was found to be in breach of his probation order not to be in public parks where persons under the age of 16 could be present. This order stemmed from a prior conviction with the Calgary Police Service where Barker was charged with possession of child pornography.

During the arrest, investigators seized Barker’s vehicle and electronic devices. The search of these items led police to charge Barker with possession of child pornography.

Barker is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court today.

The investigation is ongoing and being led by the Halifax Integrated Internet Child Exploitation Unit in the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.

Red Honda 520 ATV stolen from Brighton, Digby County

On August 4th, 2025, the Digby RCMP received a complaint of a stolen red Honda 520 ATV. The vehicle was parked on 101 Highway, Brighton at a residence. Nova Scotia license plate: MG894. A white or silver SUV was seen on the property of the residence at approximately 1600 hrs on the same day. It is unknown if the vehicle is related to the theft of the ATV currently. The ATV has a “Lobster Mafia” sticker on the left-hand side of the ATV in the leg well, as seen in the photo.

Halifax Police investigate assaults


Police are investigating three assaults that took place in Halifax last night.

At approximately 7:05 p.m., officers were called to the 6200 block of Africville Road in Halifax for reports that a man had been struck by a vehicle. A black vehicle was seen fleeing the scene.

Upon arrival, officers located two injured people – the man who had been struck by the vehicle and a woman.  The woman was suffering from injuries consistent with being struck by a weapon.

Both individuals had serious injuries and were transported to the hospital by EHS.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., officers were called to the 3800 block of Memorial Drive in Halifax for reports that group of people had just assaulted a man with a weapon. The group was seen arriving and fleeing in two black vehicles. 

Upon arrival, officers located the injured man. He was transported to hospital by EHS with serious injuries.

Investigators believe all three incidents are related and stem from a dispute that began earlier that evening. 

The investigation is ongoing but the suspects are all believed to be known to each other.

Acaciaville man charged with child pornography offences

July 30, 2025, Acaciaville, Nova Scotia… The RCMP’s Provincial Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a man with child pornography offences.

On June 19, the ICE Unit and Digital Forensic Services, assisted by Digby RCMP, executed a search warrant at a home on Ridge Rd. in Acaciaville and seized electronic evidence.

Investigators were directed to the residence after learning that child pornography was being transmitted by a user accessing the internet in that residence.

As a result of the investigation, on July 28, Justin John Horner, 44, of Acaciaville, was safely arrested and additional evidence was seized. Horner has been charged with:

  • Possession of Child Pornography (two counts)
  • Making Child Pornography Available

Horner was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Digby Provincial Court on October 14, 2025.

In Nova Scotia it is mandatory for citizens to report suspected child pornography; anyone who comes across child pornography material or recordings must report it to the police. Failure to report could result in penalties similar to those for failure to report child abuse set out in the Child and Family Services Act. The suspect’s identity remains unknown.
Looking to identify the two individuals in the attached pictures.
They were operating what is believed to be a newer model white Mercedes-Benz C-class with a licence plate possibly from Ontario. VW Tiguan stolen from Falmouth

On July 25th, West Hants RCMP received a report of a Grey VW Tiguan from the Falmouth area, likely around 0330 hrs. Vehicle was last seen in the Digby area this morning around 0615 hrs.
