Help identify Pictou Thieves

On 2024-02-08, Pictou County District RCMP received a complaint of theft that had occurred at the Pictou Dollarama. Two females and a male were involved and we are looking to identify these persons of interest. The two females get into a grey/silver Dodge Ram.

Blue Civic stolen in Central West River

Pictou County District RCMP is investigating the theft of a blue 2010 Honda Civic bearing Nova Scotia license plate GTN245. The vehicle was stolen from 2nd Street in Central West River,
NS between 05:15 and 06:30 on March 1st, 2024. Pictures of the vehicle attached below.

Police investigate Halifax home invasion

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a home invasion that occurred in Halifax early this morning.

At approximately 3:05 a.m. officers were called to a report of a break and enter in progress at a residence on Stoneham Court. Four men, who were unknown to the occupants, broke into the residence, sprayed them with a sensory irritant, attempted to steal property and then fled the area on foot empty-handed.

The four suspects are described as white men, approximately from 5’7” to 6’ tall, wearing dark-coloured jeans and hooded sweatshirts.

Police investigate Dartmouth stabbing.

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a stabbing that occurred in Dartmouth last night.

At 1103 p.m., Police responded to a report of an injured person in the 100 block of Caledonia Road. Officers arrived on scene and located a man who had been stabbed. He was transported to hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.

There is no suspect description at this time.

Police seeking information after shots fired in East Preston

March 2, 2024, East Preston, Nova Scotia… RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is seeking information in relation to shots fired at a home in East Preston.

On March 2, 2024, at approximately 6:36 p.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at a residence located on William St. in East Preston. Officers found damage consistent with bullet holes in the exterior of the home. Nobody was injured in the incident.

A white four door sedan was observed near the residence before the shooting. At this time, officers do not believe the incident was random

Cumberland County District RCMP requests public assistance to identify persons of interest

February 23, 2024, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia… Cumberland County District RCMP is investigating thefts of propane tanks from three locations in Cumberland County in the early morning hours of February 21 and 22.

On February 21 at approximately 2:00 a.m. two people attended a market on Hwy. 4 in Wentworth and took 15 20-pound tanks of propane from a locked storage container.

On February 22 at approximately 3:10 a.m. two people attended a gas station on Junction Rd. in Springhill and took 14 20-pound tanks of propane from a locked storage container.

On February 22 at approximately 3:40 a.m. two people attended a community centre on Main St. in Springhill and took two 20-pound and two 40-pound tanks of propane from a storage area outside the centre.

Images of those believed to be involved in each of the incidents were captured on video surveillance.

Police continue to investigate the disappearance of Devon Sinclair Marsman

Tomorrow marks the second anniversary of the disappearance of Devon Sinclair Marsman, and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case.

Devon was last seen February 24, 2022, in the Spryfield area of Halifax. Devon is described as an African Nova Scotian youth, approximately 5′ tall, 100 lbs., with blue-green eyes, and short dark hair.

Investigators in the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division believe Devon’s disappearance is suspicious and that there are people who have information in relation to Devon that they have not shared with police.

Devon’s case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program which offers cash rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for specified major unsolved crimes. Help RCMP solve fraud at Bayers Lake

On February 7th 2024, two suspects used a stolen credit cards and debit card at Shoppers Drug Mart and Dollorama in Clayton Park as well as the Superstore on Joseph Howe.  This all occurred between 15:00 and 17:00 hrs.  Tantallon RCMP police file number: 24-17285 refers. Police continue to investigate the murder of Joseph Beals

Today marks the third anniversary of the murder of Joseph Beals, and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case.

On February 20, 2021, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to reports of a single vehicle crash into a utility pole at the intersection of Mount Edward Road and Cranberry Crescent in Dartmouth. The driver, Joseph Beals, had suffered gun shot wounds. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where he died. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and ruled the death a homicide.

Investigators believe there are people who have information that could help solve Joseph’s murder. They are asking anyone with information to do the right thing and come forward with what they know; even the smallest piece of information could be the key to progressing the investigation into Joseph’s murder.

Police continue to investigate Halifax robbery

Halifax Regional Police is continuing to investigate a robbery that occurred in Halifax last month and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect.

On January 14, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing that had occurred in the area of South Park and Clyde streets. A man had attempted to steal a vehicle that was parked near that location. The man cut the vehicle owner with a knife when he confronted him. The suspect then fled the area on foot. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s to 30s, approximately 5’7” tall, with a stocky build, dark hair, wearing jeans, a light blue-green hooded sweatshirt, a black mask and black backpack.
