Clyde River out of Barrington.

On August 13th 2024 between 0430 and 0600 hours, a red and black Honda ATV was stolen from Victoria St, Windsor. Two other dirt bikes were stolen but recovered (File#2024-1168252) and (File#2024-1169842). Note, a snowplow was on the front of the ATV.

North Central RCMP received a report of a stolen 2018 Polaris Razor Side by Side. It was taken from Lemmon Hill Road in Dean, NS (near Upper Musquodoboit). The vehicle was stolen between August 11 and August 15th. It was left outside. The photo attached is the stolen vehicle. August 15, Belliveau’s Cove, Nova Scotia… Meteghan RCMP is investigating a suspicious structure fire that occurred in Belliveau’s Cove.
On August 14, just after midnight, Meteghan RCMP and fire services responded to a report of a fire at a building on the public grounds in Belliveau’s Cove. Fire services was able to contain the fire to a bathroom area, which sustained significant damage. There was no one inside the building at the time of the fire.
The preliminary investigation, assisted by the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal, indicates the fire is suspicious in nature and may have started on the outside of the building. Investigators believe that at least two people were near the building when the fire started and may have witnessed the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, led by the Meteghan RCMP with assistance from the Yarmouth/Clare Street Crime Enforcement Unit. At this time, investigators have no information to suggest that this incident is related to any previous suspicious fires in the area.

Today marks the 35th anniversary of the disappearance of Kimberly Ann McAndrew and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case.
On August 12, 1989, at approximately 4:20 p.m., 19-year-old Kimberly McAndrew left the Canadian Tire store at 6203 Quinpool Road in Halifax where she was employed as a cashier. Kimberly was later seen at the Gardenia Flower Shop in Penhorn Mall in Dartmouth. At the time of her disappearance, Kimberly was wearing pleated navy slacks, a white short-sleeved “Esprit” t-shirt with red and green squares, a navy oversized cardigan, and jade green flat-heeled loafers.
Investigators believe that there are people who have information about what happened to Kimberly. We hope the passage of time will encourage them to do the right thing and share what they know with police. It is never too late to come forward and the smallest piece of information may be just what is needed to progress the investigation into Kimberly’s disappearance.

August 8, 2024, Antigonish, Nova Scotia… Antigonish County District RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man related to hate-motivated threats and mischief in Antigonish.
On July 24, Antigonish County District RCMP received a report of hate-motivated threats that occurred the day before at a park in Antigonish. Officers learned that a man was recording a group of women and children on a mobile device. When a woman in the group asked him to stop recording, he made threats and comments related to the perceived race and background of the group members. He left on foot and did not follow through on the threats.
On July 28, officers received a report that at approximately 9:30 a.m., a man was observed leaving garbage and urine at the entrance to a mosque in Antigonish.
Based on witness statements, photos, and surveillance footage, officers believe the same man is involved in both incidents.
The man is described as being in his 50s or 60s, with thin, grey hair. During the July 24 incident, he was wearing grey sweatpants, a t-shirt, a ball cap, and blue sneakers. During the July 28 incident, he was wearing dark sunglasses, a blue and white striped shirt, and jeans, and was carrying a green reusable shopping bag.
Based on the nature of the comments made and the acts at the mosque, investigators believe that both incidents were motivated by hate. The RCMP takes incidents of hate with utmost seriousness and condemns these criminal acts. The investigation is ongoing.

On August 5th, 2024, the Cumberland County RCMP had received a complaint concerning a stolen yellow John Deere wheel loader out of Pugwash. The vehicle had been stolen from a commercial property sometime between August 2th at 15:00 and the morning of August 5th.
