Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a weapons assault that occurred in Halifax on June 29th, 2020.

At approximately 10:20 pm, Halifax Regional Police received a report of a weapons assault that had just occurred at the Esso Gas Station, located at 6020 Young Street, Halifax. An unknown male approached the male victim in his vehicle, while parked outside this location. The unknown male then assaulted the victim with an edged weapon. The unknown male then fled in a vehicle, which was later located abandoned within close proximity of the assault. The victim sustained serious injuries, and was transported by EHS to the QE2 Health Sciences Centre for further treatment.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a grey hoodie, long blue jean shorts, blue baseball cap, white socks, black sneakers and black gloves. Further updates to follow, as preliminary investigation continues.

Case #20-74016

Between 2020-06-19 at 19:00 hrs and 2020-06-24 at 19:00 hrs, unknown person(s) went onto a property in Hebbville, NS and stole a 6’x10’ enclosed cargo trailer, with the business name “Dwight’s Mobile Welding” in large lettering is displayed on the side. The trailer contained welding equipment and other tools.

Enfield RCMP received a report of a stolen Sea-doo which was docked behind 76 Fish Cove Drive, Enfield Nova
Scotia.

The sea-doo was last seen at 0030hrs on June 21st, 2020. Nothing was left at the scene to indicate if the sea-doo was driven or towed from the area.

Police continue to investigate 2005 disappearance of Shen Chiu “Andy” Tsou

Today is the 15th anniversary of the disappearance of Shen Chiu “Andy” Tsou and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case.

Andy was a resident of Richmond, British Columbia and was last seen in Halifax on June 26, 2005. He knew numerous people in Halifax and elsewhere in Nova Scotia and had been staying at the Halifax Casino Hotel and other private residences prior to his disappearance. Andy had booked a room at the Halifax Casino Hotel for the night of June 26, 2005, however, he never arrived. On June 30, 2005, a family member reported Andy missing to police. Andy was driving a 2005 white Pontiac Grand Prix while in the Halifax area and this car has never been located.

It is never too late to come forward and the smallest piece of information may be just what is needed to progress the investigation. Investigators are asking anyone with information about Andy or his whereabouts to call police at 902-490-5020. Andy’s case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program which offers cash rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for specified major unsolved crimes. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a child that has gone missing in Halifax.

At approximately 12:15 p.m. police received a report that an approximately 5-year-old girl was missing. The girl had been playing at the beach on Kearney Lake near Hamshaw Drive.

The girl is described as white, under 4’, slim build with brown shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a dark peach/maroon one-piece bathing suit. The young girl left behind a pair of denim shorts with pink and green embroidery, a blue t-shirt with “Let’s go Ninja” written on it, a pair of swim goggles and a single key.

Police are asking for assistance in identifying the following persons of interest relating to Firearms offences which occurred between Dec 2019 and January 2020.   Police believe these subjects have information which could assist in the investigation.

On June 16^th 2020 around 14:15hrs a male entered the Kenny U-Pull located at 32 Dutch Settlement road in Lantz, Halifax County. The male purchased several items from the business but appeared to be heavily intoxicated. The male left in a blue Volkswagen Jetta and in doing so backed up into another vehicle causing $2000 dollars in damage and then left the scene. The suspect vehicle would have a broken right rear tail light.
