Police investigate stabbing

On June 21 at approximately 3 a.m., police responded to a report of an injured person laying on the sidewalk in the 5600 block of Spring Garden Road in Halifax. Upon arrival, officers located a 44-year-old man suffering from a stab wound. Officers provided first-aid at the scene before the man was transported to hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is not believed to be random. The investigation is ongoing.
