Cole Harbour RCMP looking to solve pedestrian hit and run

RCMP seeking

information about vehicle-pedestrian collision

RCMP Halifax Regional
Detachment is seeking information from the public in relation to a
vehicle-pedestrian collision in Cole
Harbour.


 


On November 22, at
approximately 8:20 p.m., RCMP officers,
fire services, and
EHS, responded to a report
of a collision at the
intersection of
Cole Harbour Rd.
and Caldwell Rd.


 


Investigators
learned that a Subaru
turning right onto Cole Harbour Rd. from Caldwell Rd. struck a pedestrian who
had the right of way to cross from Cole Harbour Rd. to Portland St. A secondary
collision then occurred when a white sedan travelling east on Cole Harbour Rd.
struck the victim who had come to rest in the roadway. Both vehicles failed to
remain at the scene.


 


The pedestrian, a
30-year-old Dartmouth woman, suffered serious injuries and was transported to
hospital by EHS.


 


At this time,
investigators believe the Subaru was driven by a white
woman.


 


The investigation is
ongoing.
