Police investigate Bedford sexual assault

Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred this weekend in Bedford.

On August 27, police received a report of a sexual assault that occurred in the area of Shore Drive and the Hatchery Lane. At approximately 2:50 p.m., a woman was out for a walk when she observed a man and woman walking toward her. The man, who was not known to her, turned around and began walking alongside her, trying to make conversation. The man then touched her in a sexual manner. The woman fled the area on foot.

The man is described as having a dark complexion, 5’8” tall, slim/muscular build, clean shaven with dark curly hair. At the time, he was wearing a beige shirt and short blue shorts.
