RCMP investigate home invasion

March 14, 2020, North River, Colchester County, Nova Scotia…Colchester County RCMP are searching for two suspects following a home invasion in North River.

RCMP were called to a residence on Edith Lee Dr. near noon on March 13. Two occupants of the home saw a small 4-door light blue vehicle they did not recognize pull into the driveway. They went to lock the door when a male suspect entered the home through the front door and pushed both occupants into a bedroom before rummaging through the house stealing items of insignificant value. The occupants were not injured.

The suspect is described as over 6-feet-tall with reddish hair, a beard and was wearing work-boots. The other suspect waited in the vehicle and was described as a male with short hair and glasses.

Police are reminding residents to secure their properties which may include locking your doors, the use of home security alarms and following the #9PMROUTINE.
