Home invasion in Parrsboro
March 13, 2020, Parrsboro, Nova Scotia . . . At approximately 6 p.m. on March 12, a man was asleep at his home on Whitehall Rd. in Parrsboro when two men arrived in a newer model black four-door Chevrolet pickup. Both were wearing all black clothing with black bandannas over their faces. One man entered the home, and as the victim ran down the hallway to see why the person was there, he was assaulted by the suspect with a metal baseball bat. The suspect then ran from the home, slashed the tires on the victim’s vehicle, then the two suspects left the area in the truck. A woman was also in the home when the incident occurred, however she was not hurt.
Investigators are being assisted by RCMP Forensic Identification Technicians as they examine the scene for evidence. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of what is believed to be minor injuries.
The RCMP is investigating and is asking for assistance from the public to identify the suspects. Both men were wearing all black clothing, including hoodies and bandannas covering their faces. The suspect who entered the home is believed to be approximately 5-foot-11 tall. Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to contact Parrsboro RCMP at 902-254-2424.
