January 17, 2019, Head of Chezzetcook, Nova Scotia . . . A 43-year-old man was transported to hospital via LifeFlight yesterday with life-threatening injuries after three men entered his home and shot him in the stomach. The incident occurred near 3:45 p.m. at a home on Mary Etta Dr. Police have been advised today that the victim is expected to survive.
Three men wearing masks entered the victim’s home and shot him. The victim does not know the identity of the suspects. The suspects left the home on foot and may have left the area in a vehicle. A police dog was called to the area to assist with tracking the suspects, but was unable to locate them. Police continue to canvass the area to determine the circumstances of this incident. Police do not believe this was a random act.
The investigation is being led by the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division with assistance of the RCMP Forensic Identification Section.
