Assault with a Weapon, Halifax

At 2:35 a.m. on January 1st Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of an injured male with injuries consistent with a stabbing entering the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital Emergency Department, 1799 Robie Street Halifax.  Officers confirmed an unknown person injured the male during an altercation in the 3300 block of Connaught Avenue Halifax.  There is no suspect description at this time.  Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation, which is in the early stages.
