Help Police Solve Perfume Robbery

Police in Halifax are investigating a robbery that occurred on July 1, 2022 at the Spring Garden Rd Shoppers Drug Mart, 5524 Spring Garden Rd.  a large quantity of perfume was taken.  Suspect threatened to mace the employees on his way out when they attempted to stop him.

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred yesterday in Halifax.

At approximately 8:20 a.m. police responded to a robbery at the Needs Convenience store located at 6130 Chebucto Road. A man entered the store, threatened the employee and demanded money. He then fled the area on foot with a quantity of cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets.

The suspect is described as 6’ tall, wearing a light grey cloth face covering, carrying two black backpacks and dressed in all black clothing.

Police investigate weapons complaint – Shooting

0n Wednesday July 6, 2022, at 8:30 pm, Halifax Regional Police received a report of gun shots in the 5000 block of Cunard Street. Officers responded to the area and located a male victim w/ gunshot wounds. Crime scene also located. Emergency Health Services transported male to QE2 Hospital w/ serious injuries. No suspects in custody at this time.

Police Investigating Shooting in North Preston

July 2, 2021, North Preston, Nova Scotia… The HRP/RCMP Guns and Gangs Unit of the Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a shooting that occurred in North Preston.

At approximately 8:55 p.m. last night, Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of a shooting that had occurred on Amos Walter Dr. in North Preston. Police learned a 24-year-old man incurred a non-life threatening injury and an outside of a residence was damaged.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the HRP/RCMP Guns and Gangs Unit of the Criminal Investigation Division. The investigation has been assisted by Halifax District RCMP, the Halifax District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit, Halifax Regional Police, RCMP Police Dog Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services.

At 10:07 p.m. on Friday July 1, 2022, Halifax Regional Police received a report of gun shots in the area of Canso Lane in Dartmouth. Officers responded to the area and located a crime scene. There were no injuries reported and there is no suspect information available at this time.

Police investigate robbery

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth yesterday.

At approximately 6:15 a.m., officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred at a bus stop in the 0-100 block of Highfield Park Drive.  A man was waiting for the bus when he was assaulted and knocked to the ground by another man not known to him. The man continued to assault the victim and attempted to take his property. The suspect then fled the area on foot with a woman who was with him. 

The suspect is described as white, in his early 20’s, approximately 5’7, with a slim build and dark hair. He was wearing all black clothing at the time of the incident.

The woman with the suspect is described as white, about 18-20 years of age, approximately 5’8″ tall and was wearing a blue top and gray sweatpants.

Police continue to investigate shooting

Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred earlier this week.

On June 22, at approximately 11 p.m., police responded to the area of Duke Street in Bedford near Damascus Road and Highway 102 in relation to a man who had been shot while inside a vehicle.

A 34-year-old-man was transported to hospital for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds.

Yesterday, officers received a report of a damaged vehicle in a parking lot of a business in the 0-100 block of Wright Avenue in Dartmouth. Haliburton Avenue was closed to traffic for a short time to allow officers to collect evidence. Through the investigation it was determined that the vehicle had been struck as a result of shots fired in the area.

The investigations are in the early stages; however, investigators believe that the scene on Wright Avenue may be related to the call reported in Bedford.

Police investigate hit and run

( SOLVED )

Police are investigating a hit and run that occurred in Halifax yesterday.

Officers responded to a report of a collision between a motorist and a cyclist that occurred at approximately 4 p.m. in the 1400 block of Oxford Street in Halifax. The driver stopped briefly then left the area. The cyclist, a 14-year-old youth, was transported to hospital for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle is described as a white man in his 50s with a scar on the side of his neck. The vehicle is described as a blue Mazda or Subaru with British Columbia license plates.

Police investigate robbery.

At 1:07 A.M. on June 23rd, Police were called to the Irving Gas Bar located at 219 Pleasant Street in Dartmouth for a Robbery call made by the clerk at this location.

It was learned that a suspect entered the store and produced a knife, demanding cigarettes and cash. A quantity of both were taken. The suspect had fled prior to police arrival.

The clerk was not injured in the incident.

Members from Patrol and a K-9 officer are investigating. At this time, the suspect has not been located. Their description is as follows:

A white man, thin build, 5’7″, a small amount of facial hair, wearing dark pants and a gray sweater with the hood pulled up.

Police investigate shooting

At 11:03 P.M. on June 22nd, police were called to the area of Duke Street in Bedford near Damascus Road and the 102 Highway for reports of a vehicle and occupant inside that were struck by gunfire.

A white pickup truck was located nearby with evidence suggesting it was struck by gunfire. A man was also located that had suffered from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to the QE2 hospital in Halifax for those injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening, but will require admission for surgery.

The incident is in the early stages of investigation. Members of Patrol, the Criminal Investigative Division, Forensic Identification Services as well as K-9 are all contributing to the investigation.

The incident is not believed to be random and there is no ongoing risk to the public.
