Police are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a weapons incident that occurred in Halifax last month.

On March 7 police responded to report of a man with what was believed to be a firearm at the Sobeys store on Mumford Road. A man threatened a person who was not known to him, showed him what was believed to be a firearm and then left the area on foot.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 50s, approximately 5’8”, 160 lbs. with gray hair and a gray beard. At the time of the incident the man was wearing a gray and white baseball hat, a black and white jacket and black pants.

Police are investigating the theft of a boat that occurred earlier this month in Dartmouth.

At approximately 9:40 p.m. on March 11, a boat was stolen from a business on Estates Road. A white Dodge Ram truck was attached to the boat trailer and drove away with the boat and trailer.

The boat is an 18-foot 2023 Armada Eco LX pontoon boat. At the time, the boat was wrapped in white plastic and was on an Excalibur pontoon boat trailer.

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Saturday night in Dartmouth.

On March 25 at approximately 11:40 p.m. officers received a call that a robbery had occurred in the area of Lakefront Road and Portland Street.

A man and a woman approached a man who was not known to them, assaulted him and stole his property. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both suspects are described as white and in their mid-20’s. The woman is described as approximately 5’8” and the man is described as approximately 6’ tall.

March 28 2023, Liverpool, Nova Scotia… Queens District RCMP is investigating vandalism to a wigwam on school property on Old Port Mouton Rd. in Liverpool.

On March 27, 2023, Queens District RCMP responded to the report of vandalism to a wigwam on school property on Old Port Mouton Rd. RCMP officers learned that someone removed the bark from the structure between March 24 and 27. Based on the initial investigation, the incident is being treated as hate-motivated and the investigation is ongoing.

March 28 2023, Bridgetown, Nova Scotia… Annapolis District RCMP is investigating after a business was broken into on Church St. in Bridgetown.

At approximately 8:27 a.m. on March 23, RCMP responded to a complaint of a break-in at a business on Church St. in Bridgetown. Police learned that two men had broken into the business at approximately 2:30 a.m. on March 23. Stolen in the break-in were 3 long firearms and a significant amount of cash in mostly $100 denominations.

March 28, 2023, Clyde River, Nova Scotia…Barrington RCMP Detachment is asking for the public’s help to solve a suspicious fire to a residence on Browns Pit Rd. in Clyde River.

Monday afternoon, at approximately 3:34 p.m., emergency services were contacted stating a residence was on fire. The fire caused extensive damage to the residence.

Investigators have determined the fire to be suspicious and are working with the Nova Scotia Office of the Fire Marshal. There were no injuries.

Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred tonight in Halifax.

At approximately 5 p.m. officers responded to a report of an injured person in the 6000 block of North Street in Halifax. Officers located a man suffering from what are believed to be non-life-threatening stab wounds. He was transported to hospital for treatment.

The investigation is in the early stages and further information will be provided when it becomes available.

Halifax Regional Police are on scene investigating a robbery that had just occurred at 10:22 p.m. on March 24th, 2023. Officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Needs Convenience Store situated at 275 Baker Dr., Dartmouth.

The suspect entered the store, demanded money and threatened to harm the staff. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money, and nobody was hurt. The matter is currently under investigation by the Patrol Division.

At approximately 2:10 a.m. officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Bras D’or Lane in Dartmouth.  Officers attended the scene and located a residence that had been shot at.  There were no injuries as a result of this shooting and police have no suspect information at this time.

There was a heavy police presence in the area around the time of the shooting.  All police have left the scene but are continuing to investigate the incident.

March 19, 2023, Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia… Halifax District RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying persons of interest in shoplifting investigations.

Yesterday, at approximately 12:08 p.m., a woman entered a drug store on Forest Hills Pky. in Cole Harbour. Soon after, another woman and a man entered the store. They are believed to be involved in the theft of 18 bottles of fragrance with a total retail value of more than $2,000. The first woman appeared between 18 to 25-years-old, approximately 5-foot-3 and brown hair. The man, approximate height of 5-foot-10 was described as having brown facial hair and wearing thick framed eyeglasses. The woman with the man is described as 5-foot-6 and brown hair.

The same three individuals were seen less than an hour later at another drug store on Portland St. in Dartmouth but left without incident. These persons are also persons of interest in recent thefts of similar nature in both New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
