On Saturday March 29th Enfield RCMP received a complaint of a stolen blue 2012 Chevrolet Cruze with NS maker GTN 587. The vehicle was stolen near Andy Hayes Road / Hwy 236 between 2025/03/27 and 2025/03/29.

May 12, 2025, Upper Nappan, Nova Scotia… The Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) seized quantities of illicit drugs and charged a woman as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
On May 5, the Cumberland County Integrated SCEU, with assistance of Cumberland County District RCMP, executed a search warrant at a property on Hwy. 2 in Upper Nappan as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
Officers safely arrested a woman and seized quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine (crystal and tablets), oxycodone, cocaine, prescription drugs, unstamped cannabis and cash. Officers also seized a conducted energy weapon and drug paraphernalia.

Loppie was released from custody by the court and is scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial Court on July 7 at 9:30 a.m.

May 21, 2025, Pictou, Nova Scotia… The Pictou County District RCMP is continuing to investigate the fatal hit and run of Anthony Gerard Burke and is appealing for anyone with information to come forward by releasing a video featuring his story.
On March 27, 1985, at approximately 9:48 p.m., 29-year-old Anthony (Tony) Burke was killed when he was struck by a vehicle near 97 Wellington St. in Pictou. Burke had been at a gathering with friends at a home on Wellington St. After an altercation in the home, Burke left the residence on foot.
A passing motorist witnessed the incident and attended to Burke, who succumbed to his injuries and died at the roadside. The witness described a blue car, possibly an AMC Gremlin, as being involved. The driver of the vehicle left the scene and never returned.
“We have reason to believe the car may still be somewhere in the province, and we’re retesting exhibits we seized at the time using the modern technology available to us now,” says Cst. Daniel Ronaghan, investigator with the Pictou County District RCMP General Investigative Section. “These steps will help, but we’re releasing this video too, hoping someone will come forward with information that answers outstanding questions about what happened to Tony.”

May 21, 2025, Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia… RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has arrested two people for assaulting fishers in Eastern Passage.
On May 4, at approximately 7 p.m., RCMP officers responded to a report of an assault in progress near Cow Bay Rd. in Eastern Passage. On arrival, officers found two people with serious injuries and arrested two other people – one youth and one man. Police also seized several items used as weapons in this assault, including fishing hooks and a metal pipe. The incident occurred while the victims were fishing for gaspereau.
The victims were transported to hospital by EHS, one with life-threatening injuries.
The youth had a first court appearance and remains in custody, facing four charges including aggravated assault.
The 39-year-old man, from Cow Bay, was later released on conditions. He will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on June 10, 2025, to face a charge of assault.
This incident is still under investigation. Police are aware of allegations that this was a hate-motivated crime or hate-motivated incident based on information provided by witnesses. The RCMP takes incidents of hate with utmost seriousness and condemns all hate-motivated incidents, and may follow up with further charges as is necessary based on the ongoing investigation.

May 13, 2025, Lansdowne Station, Nova Scotia… The Pictou County District RCMP, with the assistance of the Northeast Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit, continue to investigate the disappearance of Lilly and Jack Sullivan.
“We’re exploring all avenues in this missing persons investigation,” says Staff Sergeant Curtis MacKinnon, Pictou County District RCMP. “We have officers from multiple disciplines dedicated to finding Lilly and Jack, including highly trained RCMP major crime and forensic investigators.”
To date, more than 180 tips have been received from the public, and are being followed up on. Officers have so far identified 35 people for formal interviews as part of the investigation, including community members and those closest to the children. And on May 8 and 9, the RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team (URT) scoured bodies of water around Lansdowne Station; URT’s two-day operation didn’t uncover any evidence.
“We continue to work day and night on this file,” says S/Sgt. MacKinnon. “Like all Nova Scotians, we want answers, and we want to know what happened to these children.”
On May 2, at approximately 10 a.m., Pictou County District RCMP received a report that Lilly and Jack were missing. They were believed to have wandered away from their home on Gairloch Rd. A multi-agency search and missing persons investigation began immediately.
The search, which was scaled back to specific areas on May 7, has covered 5.5 square kilometres of heavily wooded, rural terrain in the Gairloch Rd. area. It has involved up to 160 trained volunteer searchers and many others, and tens of thousands of search hours. Efforts to locate Lilly and Jack also included two vulnerable missing persons alerts.

May 13, 2025, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia…The South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has arrested two people from Lunenburg County for drug trafficking in Lunenburg and Queens Counties.
On May 8, police conducted a targeted traffic stop in Hebbville as part of an investigation into drug trafficking in Lunenburg and Queens Counties. Officers safely arrested a 30-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, both of Lunenburg County. A short time later, police executed a search warrant at a home on Charles Boliver Rd. in Conquerall Mills. Officers seized a quantity of cocaine, hydromorphone, cash, ammunition and mobile devices during a search of the vehicle and home.
The woman and man were released on conditions by police to face drug trafficking charges. They are scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on August 20.
The investigation, which is ongoing, is being led by the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit with assistance of the Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia, Lunenburg District RCMP and the Bridgewater Police Service.

May 12, 2025, Falmouth, Nova Scotia… On May 10, RCMP officers, fire services, and EHS responded to a fatal two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 between Hantsport and Falmouth.
At this time, based on physical evidence gathered at the scene, investigators believe that the Honda Civic was travelling in the opposite direction of traffic in the eastbound lanes when it collided with the Nissan Sentra approximately 1.5 kms from Exit 7 in Falmouth.
Through the investigation, it’s been determined that Kings District RCMP responded to a possible impaired driver involving the same Civic at 7:20 p.m. The vehicle was last seen at a restaurant on Hwy. 1 near the 11600 block in Grand Pre. An extensive search for the vehicle, led by multiple officers in Kings and West Hants counties, was unsuccessful.
Investigators are seeking information from the public to establish the whereabouts of the blue 2014 Honda Civic prior to 7:20 p.m. and prior to the collision, which occurred at approximately 11:12 p.m. The vehicle was bearing Nova Scotia licence plate HLF590.
The investigation is ongoing.
