Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Halifax.

At approximately 12:50 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a Robbery in progress at the Esso Gas Station located at 111 Kearney Lake Road in Halifax. An employee of the business was approached by a suspect demanding cash. It was insinuated that the suspect had a weapon, although none was seen.

The suspect received a sum of cash before fleeing the store and into a waiting vehicle with a second suspect.

The first suspect is described as a white man, approximately 20-30 years old and 5’6″ in height. The second suspect is described as a white man, approximately 30 years old and being thin build. He was also thought to be wearing a green jacket.

The vehicle that was used in the offence was described as a white Mitsubishi Mirage. Investigstors believe that the vehicle had recently been stolen from a Halifax address on December 30, 2021.

January 2, 2022, Bible Hill, Nova Scotia…Colchester County District RCMP is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Main St. in Bible Hill.

At approximately 1:28 a.m. early this morning, police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a gas station/convenience store on Main St. in Bible Hill. Police learned that a man had entered the store wearing a hood, baseball cap and a non-medical mask and stated he had a weapon. The man demanded cash, which he was given, and left the store on foot. No one was injured.

The man is described as white, between 25 to 30-years-old, approximately 5-foot-10 and more than 200 pounds.

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Bedford.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a robbery in progress at the TD bank ATM at 82 Peakview Way in Bedford. A customer was at the ATM machine when he was approached by two male suspects as he exited the bank.

One suspect held a knife and demanded cash and the victim’s vehicle keys. The suspects fled the scene with the victims cash and his vehicle. The stolen vehicle is described as a grey, 2021 Honda Pilot SUV. 

The first suspect is described as a man, approximately 25 years old with a thin build wearing a blue jacket with a white stripe across the chest and red pants and a black covid-style mask. The second suspect is described as a man, approximately 40 years old with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket and grey pants and a white or grey “gaiter” style bandana.

January 1, 2022, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia… Police continue to seek the public’s assistance in solving the homicide of 18-year-old Andrea King.

January 1, 2022 marks 30 years since Andrea King went missing after arriving at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport on January 1, 1992. Eighteen-year-old Andrea King flew to Halifax from New Westminister, B.C. with plans of travelling and working in Nova Scotia. Andrea was last heard from on January 1, 1992, when she called a family member in British Columbia from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport to advise them that she arrived safely and that she would call them back the following day with an address where she would be staying. She was not heard from again.

On January 4, 1992, Ms. King’s family reported her missing to the RCMP in Surrey, B.C. Despite a year-long missing person investigation being conducted in both Halifax and New Westminister, B.C., no trace of Andrea was found and police were unable to positively identify anyone who had contact with her after her arrival in Nova Scotia.

On December 22, 1992, the skeletal remains of Andrea King were located in a wooded area in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, near the Sackville Business Park. The Homicide Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division took over the investigation.

The Government of the Province of Nova Scotia is offering rewards of up to one hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Andrea King. The Provincial Rewards line is 1-888-710-9090.

December 31, 2021, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia…Lunenburg District RCMP is asking for public assistance to identify a vehicle and its owner in relation to a threats complaint.

On December 30, police received a threats complaint involving the owner of a green Ford F-150. Police have been investigating the matter and is asking the public for assistance in locating the vehicle and identifying its owner. The vehicle is described as a green 1984 Ford F-150 with a “Rockstar Energy Drink” logo on the rear window, and may be in the Bridgewater area. There is no license plate number or description of the owner.

Anyone who sees this vehicle or who may have information on this vehicle is asked to immediately contact 911, their local police or Lunenburg District RCMP at 902-527-5555.

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth last night.

At approximately 6:35 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a robbery in progress at the Triple N Convenience & Kitchen located at 187 Windmill Road in Dartmouth. A man came into the store and demanded money. The man fled the store on foot empty-handed.

The suspect is described as a Black man, approximately 5’6″ tall, with a slim build. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a light green hooded jacket, black pants and white and black sneakers.

The investigation is in its early stages. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020. Police are investigating a report of shots fired that occurred yesterday in Halifax.

At approximately 3:25 p.m. police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Herring Cove Road near Shoreham Lane. The suspect pulled up alongside the passenger side of another vehicle being driven by a lone man and fired a shot striking the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then drove off towards the Armdale Roundabout. At this time, no injuries have been reported.

The suspect is described as a white man who was wearing a hat and sunglasses at the time of the incident. The suspect’s vehicle is described as an older model black Volkswagen Jetta with tinted rear brake lights.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information or video from the area at the time of the incident to contact police at 902-490-5020. December 31, 2022, Plymouth, Nova Scotia…Tomorrow will mark one year since the disappearance of Zachery Lefave of Hebron.

On January 1, 2021, 21-year-old Zachery Lefave was last seen walking on Hwy. 334 in Plymouth at approximately 12:15 a.m. He was seen talking on a phone at the time.

Zachery is described as white, 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, brown facial hair, brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a hat, plaid shirt and boxer shorts.

Over the last year, investigators have continued to follow up on information and leads as they have been received. Investigators from the Yarmouth Rural RCMP, Yarmouth Town RCMP, Yarmouth RCMP General Investigation Section, Yarmouth/Clare Street Crime Enforcement Unit, RCMP Forensic Identification Services, Meteghan RCMP, Shelburne RCMP, Lunenburg District RCMP and Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit have assisted with this investigation.

Police are looking for the public’s assistance in locating a driver in relation to a vehicle pedestrian collision that occurred in Halifax earlier this month.

On December 2 at approximately 5:30 p.m. police responded to a report of a vehicle pedestrian collision at the intersection of Fenwick Street and South Park Street. The pedestrian was crossing South Park Street in a marked crosswalk when they were struck by a vehicle traveling on South Park Street.  The driver did not stop and left the area after striking the pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The only description available at this time is that the vehicle was described as a white sedan.

December 29, 2021, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia…Yarmouth Town RCMP is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Main St. in Yarmouth.

At approximately 7:50 p.m. December 28, police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a grocery store on Main St. in Yarmouth. Police learned that a man had entered the store wearing a Halloween mask and had what appeared to be bear spray in his hand. The man demanded cash, which he was given, and left the store on foot. No one was injured.

The investigation is being led by the Yarmouth RCMP General Investigation Section, with assistance from Yarmouth Town RCMP.
