On 2014-08-12, at 12:19 am fire and police responded to a fire at 185 Upper Governor Street, East Preston, Habitat for Humanity was building a house at this address. When police arrived, an excavator on site was fully engulfed in flames, the fire department was able to put out the fire, but the damage was so severe that the excavator is a complete loss. A loud bang and a car taking off at a high rate of speed were both heard moments before the fire was discovered.

Break Enter & Theft Westphall NS

Crime stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving a break enter and theft which happened in Westphal  Nova Scotia

Sometime within the last 3-4 weeks someone broke into one the storage trailer (Day&Ross) located across from 923 Highway 7, Westphal which is used to store tools, tires and equipment.

Listed below are some of the tools that went missing but it is estimated that there was a total loss of approximately $100,000.

-1 x Mastercraft Toolbox full of tools

-1 x Snapon Toolbox full of tools
-6 x Lincoln Welders

Aggravated Assault

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in Solving an assault which took place in Dartmouth Nova Scotia

On , Monday, August 18th, 2014 at approx. 9 pm, the victim, a 52 year old Caucasian male, went to Lawton’s Drugs on  Primrose St, Dartmouth.   The victim routinely goes to the drugstore daily at this time to purchase soda and snacks.  He often leaves just as the store is closing.  (9pm).   The victim lives  on Jackson Rd, which is just on the other side of the parking lot of this store.

On this evening, the victim left the store at 9pm, after purchasing a 6-pack of Pepsi.   He walked around to the east side of the building and started to cross the parking lot towards Jackson Rd.   The victim was approached from behind by unknown person(s).   The attacker said to him, “Hey, What’s in the bag?”.  As the victim turned around, the attacker immediately struck the victim in the face with a blunt object.  The victim suffered life threatening head injuries.  Police patrol unit pulled into the parking lot at 9:05 pm, and found the victim on ground bleeding.

During the early morning hours of August 18th, between approximately 4 and 6 AM, an unknown suspect(s) lit fire to a 1986 Camaro T top vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on  William Road. There is proof of an accelerant having been used to start the fire.

Sometime between Friday evening, July 4th, and Saturday morning July 5th, unknown person(s) broke into the Tusket Ultramar.  A quantity of cigarettes and lottery tickets were stolen. There was also damage caused to the business.

Theft Waverley NS

Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in solving a theft which occurred on Waverley Road, Waverley, Nova Scotia.

Sometime between June 17-18th, 2014, unknown suspect(s) stole a boat with outbord motor attached.  The suspects removed the motor and attempted to sink the boat.  The boat was recovered full of water a the end of the lake bu the motor was never recovered.

3.  Yamaha  outboard   Model: 3M5HX

4. Sterling BBQ             Model: 5123-84

5. 5hp/18 ton Surge Master Wood Splitter.

6. 2 X 20L gas containers.

7. 4 X Fishing Rods and Reels.

8. 1 Maul.

ARSON

On Sunday the 11 of May 2014 three males were seen walking North on Highway 2 at 02:45 hrs in Enfield. One of the males broke from the group and ran across the road to Deans Auto Parking lot and was within arms reach of the vehicle that was burnt. This male was out of view of the witness as he was on the far side of the vehicle before he ran back to his group and they continued to walk north on HWY 2. The witness heard a popping sound a few minutes later and looked out their window to see the vehicle on fire.

This incident is similar to a vehicle arson that happened at the same location a few months ago.

Hit & Run Wolfville NS

Kings District R.C.M.P. are continuing to investigate a hit and run that occurred in the Subway parking lot in Wolfville Kings County on November 2nd,2013 at around 11:20 p.m.  The hit and run sent a 23 year old female pedestrian to hospital with significant leg injuries.  The female was struck along with several parked vehicles the suspect fled the scene without offering any assistance to the injured female.
