Robbery & Assault – Dartmouth

Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a case of a Robbery & Assault which took place on a pathway which runs between Auburn Drive and Greystone Drive in Halifax.

On Thursday October 30th, 2008 at around 9:30 pm the victim was on his way home when he observed three males standing in a circle on the path, as the victim approached the three males to walk by them, he was tripped to the ground… One of the guys grabbed the victims Mp3 players, swung it around hitting the victim on the head. As the victim tried to escape he was punched several times in the face and stomach before the suspects left.

The victim who suffered cuts to his forehead, cheek and chest was transported to the IWK and treated for his injuries.

Suspects Description:

(1). White male, 17-20 years old, 5’5”, wearing a dark shirt and jeans that were faded in the middle of the legs.
(2). Black male, 17-20 years old, 6’, wearing a red ‘Gap’ hooded shirt with a zipper, dark blue jogging pants with white stripes on the sides.
(3). Black male, 17-20 years old, less then 6’ tall, plain white t-shirt and dark pants.

Theft from Wal-Mart – New Glasgow

On September 20, 2008, at approximately 21:30 hours, a laptop computer was stolen from the Walmart in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.

An unknown male and female entered the store separately. The male entered the electronics department and browsed around the computer section. He later returned to the section with a shopping cart, accompanied by the unknown female. Alleged they removed a laptop that was on display from the shelf and concealed it in the cart with other merchandise. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop.

The male appears to be well groomed with an athletic build. The female appears to be blonde, well groomed and wearing an addidas track suit.

Break & Enter – Dartmouth

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving a case of break enter and theft which occurred in Dartmouth Nova Scotia on Monday August 25th, 2008.

Sometime between the hours of 12:30 am and 7:00 am while the home owners sleep person(s) entered a home on Lindy lane and made off with a number of item’s.

Item’s taken included a Giannini Acoustic Guitar, Black Ebony Gibson Les Paul Electric Guitar, medication, purses, wallets, cell phone.

Break & Enter – Halifax

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s assistance in solving a break enter and theft case which occurred on Halifax.

Sometime between midnight and 12 noon on September 2nd, 2008 a residence was broken in on the 2300 block of Creighton Street.
Entry was made through a back door, once inside the culprit(s) ransacked the apartment and removed a quantity of assorted tools, two guitars.

Break & Enter – Head of Chezzetcook

A Break and Enter occurred in Head of Chezzetcook, HRM, Nova Scotia sometime between Monday, 2007-11-12 and Thursday, 2007-11-15, at which time a banjo was stolen.

The banjo is a Stelling, Red Fox Banjo, made and purchased in 1997. The replacement value of the banjo is approximately $6000.00. The banjo has sustained normal wear and tear and was refurbished in June of 2007. The banjo is a curly maple color and it has an in laid mother of pearl maple leafs between several frets and an in laid mother of pearl fox head on the head stock.

Also, the banjo case was also stolen which is a black, vinyl covered plywood case with some tears with the words “Stelling”, in gold letters on the top of the case. There was also a tuner (tuning aid) valued at $50 and a set of Keith tuners valued at $50 stolen.

Unsolved Crime, Break & Enter – Pugwash Cumberland County

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help with solving a case of break enter and arson into a residence in Pugwash Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.

Sometime overnight on the 27th of August 2008 someone entered a vacant house at 10740 Durham Street #6 Highway in Pugwash. After the culprit (s) left, the uninsured house caught fire and was completely destroyed. Damage was in excess of $40,000.

The owners earlier in the week advised the investigators that the same house was broken into sometime in the last month; during this break the residence received minor damage.

Theft of Copper – Guysborough County

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving a case of theft which occurred in Guysborough County Nova Scotia..

Guysborough County RCMP are currently investigating two break and enters into the Old Seafreeze Property located in Canso, NS. The Seafreeze Property is currently being demolished by a contracted demolition crew.

The first incident occurred between the evening of Monday, August 11, 2008 and the morning of Tuesday, August 12, 2008. The suspect(s) entered the secured area and removed copper wiring and related items.

The second incident occurred overnight August 14 to 15. Again, the culprits entered the property
and removed several items containing large amounts of brass and copper. The items taken during both incidents belonged to electrical panels. A large amount of copper wiring and bus bars (commonly known as Buzz Bars) were taken both times.

Arson – Lower Sackville

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving a case of arson which took place at a business in Lower Sackville Nova Scotia.

At around 1:15 am on Monday July 12th, 2008 Lower Sackville RCMP responded to an intrusion alarm at Key Largos on First Lake Road.

Upon arrival the building was discovered to be on fire.

Investigators have determined this was and arson and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible.
