Police investigate homicide

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Dartmouth last night, leaving one man dead.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting on Lahey Road in Dartmouth. Officers arrived on scene and located a 39-year-old man who had been shot. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The incident is being treated as a homicide. The investigation by the Major Crime Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is ongoing.
