Police seeking information on sexual assault in Cole Harbour

June 20, 2025, Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia… Police are seeking information in relation to a sexual assault that occurred in Cole Harbour.

On June 19, RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment responded to a report of a sexual assault that occurred on June 17 at approximately 9 p.m. on a trail between Poplar Dr. and Cranberry Cres. in Cole Harbour. Officers learned that a 44-year-old woman was walking on the trail when she was approached from behind assaulted and then sexually assaulted.

The victim, who fought off her attacker, suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a man, 6-foot-0, approximately 230 pounds and has brown eyes. At the time of the incident, he had a goatee and was wearing a black hoodie with a white logo and a black ball cap.

The investigation, led by the Special Victims Section of the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, is ongoing.
