Help Inverness County RCMP identify suspects

RCMP investigate break and enter to business, firearms stolen

June 28, 2024, Whycocomagh, Nova Scotia… Five firearms have been recovered and four are missing after a break and enter into a business in Whycocomagh.

On June 26, just before midnight, Inverness County District RCMP responded to an intrusion alarm at a business in the 9000-block of Hwy. 105.

Officers attended and confirmed that the business had been broken into and multiple firearms and ammunition had been stolen.

With the assistance of RCMP Police Dog Services, officers searched the area and were able to recover five firearms and some ammunition. Four firearms are still believed to be missing.

The initial investigation has identified two people of interest and Inverness County District RCMP is requesting the public’s help in identifying them.

The first is described as a man with wavy, long, dark-coloured hair, and glasses. He was wearing a red hoodie, and grey or camouflage pants.

The second is described as a man, approximately 5-foot-8. He was wearing a black sweater and grey pants.

Inverness County District RCMP continue to investigate, with the assistance of the RCMP’s Forensic Identification Section.
