Yesterday marked the second anniversary of the homicide of Nelson Tyrelle Beals and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case.
On June 11, 2022, at approximately 2:10 a.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of shots fired on Viscaya Place in Dartmouth. Officers located Nelson Beals, 34, who had been shot and was deceased, at a residence. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and ruled the manner of death to be a homicide.
Investigators believe there are people who have information that could help solve Nelson’s murder. We are asking them to do the right thing and share what they know with police. It is never too late to come forward and the smallest piece of information may be just what is needed to progress the investigation into Nelson’s murder.
