Today marks the second anniversary of the murder of Lee’Marion Shancez Cain and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case.
On December 21, 2021, at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to a shooting involving two vehicles that had occurred near the intersection of Windmill Road and Wadell Avenue in Dartmouth. Shots were fired from the suspects at another vehicle hitting a 26-year-old man and Lee’Marion. They were transported to hospital where Lee’Marion died as a result of his injuries and the man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Video footage has been a key part of the investigation and has provided that at least two suspects were involved in the homicide and helped investigators identify and locate the vehicle believed to be used by the suspects. The suspects are described as Black men in their 20s-30s who were driving a burgundy Chevrolet Equinox, with tinted windows.
