August 21, 2023, Plymouth, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia…The Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the disappearance of Zachery Lefave.
On January 1, 2021, at approximately 12:15 a.m., 21-year-old Zachery Lefave, of Hebron, was last seen walking on Hwy. 334 in Plymouth. At the time, he was talking on the phone.
Over the last 2.5 years, the investigation has involved searches by ground search and rescue teams and RCMP Police Dog Services.
On July 19, 2023, an RCMP cadaver dog team conducted searches in the area of Plymouth, searching for any evidence that may advance the investigation. Unfortunately, nothing was located during the search.
On August 18, 2023, at the request of the Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit, Zachery’s case was added to the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Reward for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, which offers rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the disappearance of Zachery.
