Kings District RCMP requesting public assistance in stolen vehicle investigation

August 24, 2023, Steam Mill, Nova Scotia…Kings District RCMP is requesting public assistance in a stolen vehicle investigation.

On August 22, 2023, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Kings District RCMP responded to a report of a black pickup truck driving through a private field in Steam Mill. The truck, a black Ford F-150, was believed to have been stolen.

At approximately 11:15 p.m., a report of a motor vehicle collision on Lakewood Rd., was received. RCMP officers learned a black Ford F-150 had been seen squealing it’s tires and when a homeowner went outside to investigate, they found no one in the vehicle. A neighbour advised police that the male driver had exited the black Ford F-150 and stole a red Ford F-150, from their driveway before fleeing the scene.

RCMP officers located the red Ford F-150 in North Kentville and attempted a traffic stop, however, the driver refused to stop and fled.

Kings District RCMP is releasing images obtained from surveillance video in the hopes that someone recognizes the man.
