Annapolis District RCMP investigating theft of body armor

July 5, 2023, Middleton, Nova Scotia… Annapolis District RCMPis investigating the theft of body armor from a pick-up truck in Middleton.

On June 30, at approximately 7:30 a.m., RCMP officers received a report of theft from a pick-up truck parked at a motel on Main St. in Middleton. RCMP officers learned that soft body armor and a laptop, assigned to an employee of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice, was taken from the GMC Canyon sometime the night prior.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Annapolis District RCMP, with assistance from RCMP Forensic Identification Section.

The RCMP wants to remind the public that in Nova Scotia it’s an offence under the Body Armor Control Act to unlawfully possess body armor.
