Police are asking for public assistance in the Patrick Wayne Stay homicide investigation

Investigators in the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a cellphone.

On September 4 at approximately 12:35 a.m., police located a man in the 1600 block of Lower Water Street who had been stabbed. The victim, 36-year-old Patrick Wayne Stay, was transported to the hospital where he later died. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and ruled the manner of death to be a homicide.

Police are looking to locate a cellphone that may have been found in the area of Prince and Lower Water streets after the homicide.
