RCMP investigating break and enter and theft of firearms

May 25, 2022, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia… Halifax District RCMP is investigating a break and enter involving a theft of firearms in Lower Sackville.

On May 24, at 8:19 a.m., officers responded to a report of a break-in at a home on Sami Dr. Officers learned that a safe containing five handguns was stolen. It included a:

  • Ruger model 57
  • Glock model 17 Gen5
  • Glock model 19 Gen4
  • Glock model 22
  • Rock Island Armory model M1911A1Fs

RCMP believe the suspect gained access to the home through the back door sometime between May 19 and May 24.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Halifax District RCMP, with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section.
