Police request public’s assistance with investigation into suspicious fire

Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public’s assistance identifying a suspect in relation to a suspicious fire that occurred last year in Dartmouth.

On November 10, 2020 at approximately 10:30 p.m. East Division patrol officers observed an unoccupied vehicle on fire outside a residence on Jackson Road. They quickly extinguished the fire and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency attended to ensure the fire was out. The fire was deemed to be suspicious.

Investigators are releasing a video of the suspect in the incident. The suspect is described as a male wearing dark clothing and white sneakers.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the identity of the suspect or who may have information on the incident to contact police at 902-490-5016.
