Police investigate shooting

Police are on scene of a shooting that occurred earlier tonight in Dartmouth

At 9:17 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to Churchill Court for a report that a man had been shot. Police located a 22-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound; he was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. It is believed that the man was shot elsewhere and then driven to Churchill Court before police was called.

The investigation is in its early stages and Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation.
