Halifax Regional Police are investigating a robbery that occurred this morning in Halifax.
At 6:40 a.m. on August 9, 2020, officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Esso Service Station located at 7151 Chebucto Road, Halifax. A lone male suspect entered the Service Station and threatened the lone male employee with a knife during the commission of the offense. The male employee was not injured. The suspect left the Service Station with cigarettes and the till draw which contained an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect placed the stolen items in a box he was carrying. The suspect got into the passenger side of a Black 4dr Ford Focus and the vehicle left the parking lot in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a white male, 40-50 yrs old, gray hair, 5’5” in height, heavy set, 165-175lbs. He was wearing a grey hoodie with the hood pulled up over his head, black mask, black sunglasses, blue shorts with black stripes and a white Nike logo, black high top sneakers and white socks.
The driver of the suspect vehicle is described as a white male, with a beard, younger then the suspect who committed the robbery and wearing a dark ball cap.
Multiple police units attended the scene and are actively looking for the suspects at this time. The investigation has been assigned to the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
