Police seek to identify suspect in gas station robberies

Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect in two robberies of a Halifax gas station that occurred earlier this month.

On December 9 shortly before 9 p.m. police responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Petro Canada gas station at 7015 Bayers Road. A man entered the store, stated that he had a weapon and demanded cigarettes and money. The suspect left on foot with an amount of cigarettes and cash. No one was injured and no weapon was observed.

On December 12 at approximately 6:30 a.m. police responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the same Petro Canada gas station. A man entered the store and demanded cigarettes and money. The suspect left on foot eastbound on Bayers Road with an amount of cigarettes and cash. No one was injured, and no weapon was observed.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 5’9”, with a thin build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black winter jacket, blue jeans and black Adidas sneakers with white soles.
