October 23, 2019, Upper Onslow, Nova Scotia . . . On October 22 at 12:37 p.m., Colchester District RCMP responded to a multiple-vehicle collision on Hwy. 102 in Upper Onslow.
In total, five vehicles were damaged. The collision occurred when several pieces of 8-foot long 4″ x 4″ lumber fell from a vehicle and were scattered on the highway, resulting in drivers attempting to avoid them. Several people were transported to hospital by EHS with non life-threatening injuries. Volunteers from Onslow Belmont Fire Brigade assisted at the scene.
Colchester District RCMP is asking for assistance from the public to determine the identity of the driver of the vehicle the lumber fell from. Anyone who has information, including the description of the vehicle, the plate number, or the identity of the driver, is requested to contact Colchester District RCMP at 902-893-6820.
