October 7, 2019, Canning, Kings County, Nova Scotia . . . On October 6 at approximately 3 a.m., Kings District RCMP responded to a structure on Main St. in Canning. The fire spread and caused extensive damage to neighbouring properties and businesses. Local Volunteer Fire Departments were called to the scene and extinguished the fire. Police requested assistance from the Nova Scotia Office of the Fire Marshal to attend the scene and examine the evidence. No one was injured.

Police have determined the fire is suspicious. Kings District RCMP are seeking assistance from the public for information about anyone who may have been involved with the fire, or anyone who has information about it. Kings District RCMP can be contacted at 902-679-5555.
