Help Halifax Police Solve Lacewood Robbery

At 9:40 last evening a male entered a business at 287 Lacewood Drive in Halifax.  He approached the clerk and demanded money.  No weapons were mentioned or observed.  He obtained a quantity of cash and fled the area.  Police were able to identify the suspect however no arrests have been made at the time of this report.  The suspect is described as a white male, 45 years of age, wearing a grey track suit and black ball hat.  No one was injured during the incident.

 

At 9:15 last evening HRP officers attended a residence in the 200 block of Victoria Road in Dartmouth in an attempt to arrest a male in relation to previous charges.  The male grabbed a knife and stated he would not surrender himself to police.  Police have been negotiating with this subject throughout the evening and at the time of this report they are still attempting negotiations.  One block of Victoria Road is currently shut down to vehicles.
