Suspicious fire at Potlotek Mission
November 20, 2018, Potlotek, Nova Scotia . . . On November 19 at 5:25 p.m., Richmond District RCMP responded to a call of a suspicious fire that appeared to have been set on the wharf at the Potlotek Mission. Police attended the area, which is a remote part of the community and has no residences nearby, and no street lights. Firefighters were already at the scene, extinguishing the fire. Police officers noted garbage in the area, some of which appeared to have been placed on top of the aluminum wharf and burnt. The aluminum wharf had a plastic top surface which was heavily damaged in one section due to the fire.
