Digby RCMP investigating two arsons in Weymouth

 October 11, 2018, Weymouth, Digby County, Nova Scotia . . . Digby RCMP is investigating two arsons at a church on Weymouth Falls Rd. in Weymouth. On October 8, a suspect broke a window and tried to start a fire inside the church. It didn’t catch. They also spray painted graffiti on the parking lot of the church.

Early this morning, Digby RCMP responded to a fire at the same location, and in this instance, the church was heavily damaged. Weymouth Volunteer Fire Department was on scene attempting to get the fire under control when police arrived.

Digby RCMP is asking for public assistance with both of these investigations. Anyone who has information about either, or both incidents is asked to contact the RCMP at 902-245-2579.
