Thefts

PLEASE REPORT ANY THEFTS OR SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY TO POLICE

Police often encounter suspects in possession of what is obviously an abundance of stolen property. In many cases the suspect may have items which appear to be stolen from cars such as GPS, change, cash, gift certificates, sunglasses, phone chargers, laptops, kit bags etc. Police endeavour to locate the owners in order to prove the items were stolen which will ultimately result in proving that an offence occurred. Additionally police want to ensure this property is returned to their rightful owners. If you have been the victim of any such thefts please report it  to police no matter how minor it may seem.

In many cases owners may feel that a seemingly worthless item may not be worth hiding away in the trunk or glove box but please remember that whatever a thief sees they will want so please hide items out of sight so they are not motivated to steal what may seem of value to them.

Christmas is a particularly busy time for thieves as people load gifts into vehicles and continue shopping. Please report anyone suspicious activity and keep items out of sight of thieves.
