Theft of Construction Equipment

For the second time in a week, thieves targeted a construction site in Upper Sackville and stole construction equipment.

Sometime between 5 p.m. on November 24 and 3 p.m. on November 26, thieves stole construction equipment, valued in excess of $100,000. The following items were taken:

  • 11 foot Tenco plough. Orange in color.
  • Jama blade which attaches to the Tenco plough.
  • Rock Hammer which is attachable to an excavator. Green in color.
  • Hiliti IT 25 Lazer in a red box, used for excavations.
  • Red fuel pump.
  • Welder in a black case.
  • Trail camera.

Halifax District RCMP is asking construction companies to take steps to secure your equipment when work-site is not active. RCMP have increased patrols in areas targeted by thieves and those with construction sites.
