Crime Stoppers and Cumberland RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a number of property damage complaints
On May 2nd 2016 , unknown person (s) shot at 14 windows at West End Elementary School in Springhill using a BB gun. Copper BB’s were located on scene as well as a CO2 canister. Also on or about the same date the Springhill High School had its back entry shot out with a BB gun, a residence near the high school had a picture window facing the street damaged by a BB and finally a vehicle in close proximity had its windshield shot 18 times and side driver’s window broken out.
Cumberland RCMP are asking anyone with information on this type of incident to come forward to their local RCMP detachment or police or contacting the Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), text TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash reward from $50 -$2000.
